My dear little daily driver Sunny is up for sale. :(

Bought it about three years ago with 88,000km on the clock. It was my mates grand fathers car, so had an easy life. It has about 120,000km now. It was an almost totally rust free body then, but unfortunately does have some rust coming through now.... though nothing too serious.

The body is all straight, other than the front right hand fender that was smashed in when some wanker reversed into it. Carpets aside, the interior is pretty neat. Dash/instruments/seats are all in great condition.

Mechanically she's pretty solid and very reliable.

- A12 with 32/36 webber (no choke, so she's grumpy when cold)
- Stanza struts and brakes up front
- New shocks and springs all round, much stiffer than stock but still smooth. She's a hoot to throw around.
- 200B SX 14" wheels with good condition yokohama tires
- Alpine CD deck with pioneer stacker (nothing special there)

That's probably about all that's worth mentioning.
I really love this car and don't want to part with it, but I just don't have the time anymore. Hopefully there's someone else that can tidy it up again and appreciate it like I did!

Looking for ~$1500.
Location Brisbane.

0407 891755.

Note she doesn't look quite as neat as this anymore, but certainly could with a good clean up.

I see the ute around from time to time....looks the goods. :)

The zed actually hasn't changed too much in that time....well nothing obvious anyway. However, plenty of bits and pieces behind the scenes have been replaced in that time. I'm currently (slowly) building a new engine which should be in soonish.

The 310. I'm not going to touch it for now being my daily and also I don't want to start any big projects seeing as I probably wont be up here anymore after I've finished uni around August. However, long term I'm looking into an engine swap to a VQ25DE (215HP 2.5L all alloy V6 from the V35 skyline) would be a hoot in a nice light car like this, and not too heavy to badly upset the weight balance.

At this stage I'm just researching what I can do suspension and drivetrain wise as I really am still a beginner with these cars. Alternatively, I can get my hands on a stanza front end quite easily so could chuck an L20B in there.....that wouldn't be too bad.

We also have to two sunny fastback wagons destined for dirt duties, one with an A14 and the other a rooted A15. I have a spare L20B sitting around here so might chuck that in basher sunny II, see how it goes. Anyone want a tired A15? :)

If I remember I'll give you a yell next time we're all out for a cruise...I'm keen to have a good look at your ute. :)

Hate to bring back a thread from the dead....but.... I thought it'd be good to say a quick hello from another datsun loving townsville lad.

B120dat: I'm pretty sure I've met you before when we popped in on one of the pulse cruises. I'm the guy with the red 260Z 2-seater. I also have a sorta neat (but stock) B310 sedan now (and love it!).

Iori: Can't say I've seen your 1200 around....looks nice though.

Anyhow, maybe some time we should get an old school nissan/datsun cruise together up here. There's certainly plenty of them around....just never get them all in the one place at the one time.
