This is how it goes. You take of reving it out in 1st then move the lever to 2nd, the box changes straight up to 2nd and you pull the lever straight back to 1st, the box won't change back to 1st untill you lock the back wheels with the hand/foot brake at the next corner, then you power away in 1st again. I guess it works a bit like a preslector box. The auto sucks alot of power though I would't think it would be much good in a road car. It works well on the dirt, dosn't wast time spinning wheels just grips and goes without wheelspin. olboy

I think the quickest way to launch is to bring the revs up while in neutral then drop it into 1st but thats alittle hard on the locked diff. The car works very well in motorkanas both dirt and tar. I have hooked the hydro handbrake up to a pedal similar to a clutch pedal so its very easy to drive. when you want to do a handbrake turn you use the clutch/brake just like in a manul only you can keep two hands on the wheel. very easy to control. I've converted my last two cars from manul to auto. olboy

1st and 2nd never drive, 1st is geared similar to 2nd in a manul box so I use a 4.8 diff to get it of the mark. The converter is standard and the downside is that I carn't use a big cam as it needs a standard cam to give it the herbs down low ( slow speeds ) olboy

I have been using the same auto box in khanacross/ motorkana cars for several years now I've replaced the shell twice, several motors and many h165 diffs, current motor is an A14 turbo, the last one was an A15 turbo. I think the only thing I have had no trouble with is the auto box and it does get a hiding, Does great handbreak turns all the time. Sorry i have had a problem its that the flex plate to cranksharft bolts have come lose a couple of times. Apart from that they are very stong boxes. olboy
