What transmission could I use one my A15. When I went to the track my 2nd to 3rd was killing me. The revs droped way to much. Are there any swaps I could do? I live in WA. USA. I need something that has closer ratios. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you using sidedraft webers?

The reason im asking is if you are and you lean it to far your carbs will not operate properly. Dont quote me or anything but i believe they will not work properly if it is any more than 5-10 + degrees

hope that helps

call your local parts dealer and ask him the part number for a starter for an a12 then ask for an a15 if there the same it should work. Personally i do not know.

JE full floting forged pistons in the engine and I can provide those specs to you if I can dig up the spec sheet that came with them. The engine has ARP head and main studs along with ARP rod bolts. The engine was balanced.
Installed a tilton 10 lb aluminum flywheel with a centerforce clutch

Future plans are to install a H190 rear end with disks and 4.10 gears and possibly spooled. currently looking for a lsd or locker for the H190.

A nitrous fogger system. (any ideas how big i should go?)

I am in the process of in stalling coil overs all the way around 250lbs/in in the front and 175lbs/in in the rear and a new rear sway bar

What do you guys think?... Ill post some more pics when i figure out how to shrink the file size down without haveing to use a magnafiying glass to see the pic.

Does anyone know the gear ratios in an 5 speed/overdrive transmission for an A15?

Call up JE pistons. They could make you a set of forged pistons. I have an A15 with 78mm Flat top forged pistons from them for about $500. They could custom make any size for you. http://www.racetep.com/pistord.html.
or 818 764-1901 818 764-0155 fax. This company is located in CA, USA. May be worth it... Unless you could find someone closer.

I have all ready tried that. I used the manifold vacuum and i was at full advance all the time. This would not work... I am in the process of recurving my vacuum advance dist. right now. I am hoping to obtain about an extra 10-15 degrees of advance on the mechanical portion.

dattoman_1000: Where did you find a full mechanical dist.? Ive called Mallory, MSD, Acell and a whole bunch more no one had a distributor for me.

I just got off the phone with redline webers tech line. It turns out that there is no ported vacum at all on a DCOE. Every thing is manifold vacum. What does everyone do on this site about there vacum distributor? Mine just doesnt have enough advance.
