Hey,

Just after a little help with fitting some disk brakes to the front of my 1200. I have bought the suspension, springs, stearing arms, rotors, calipers, bads etc... in a package from the wreakers. Stupidley I forgot to ask what car they came off but I'm pritty sure they'll fit as the guy saw my car and it was a nissan wreakers. I am planning to fit them in the next couple of days and I was wondering if there is anything specail I had to do to convert the car fron drums to disks, besides bolt them in place. I know that I have to take a valvue that maintains pressure to the existing drums out of the master cylinder, thanks to one of your existing threads. However i'm not sure if the datsuns have dual master cylinders, as I am leaving the rear drums on the car so i will need to leave the rear valvue in place, assuming that it is fitted with a dual master cylinder. Also if it is only a single master cylinder how do i go about fitting a valvue further down the line to maintain the rear drum pressure.

any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated as I am rather new to cars and modification.

BTW how do I tell the difference bettweem a single and dual master cylinder and is it safe to assume that the R stand for rear and the F stand for front on the cylinder.

Thanks again Ben

Hey guys,

i just bought myself a datsun ute, yay, and i was wondering if u could help me out with a good place to get comprehensive insurance for it. Every were i have looked will only give me a very small portion of the price that i am paying for the car, if i write it off. just wanted to hear about any good car insurance places any one has heard of or dealt with.

thanks
Ben
