Hi, try ebay, you'll usually find something there. For a stock A12 head, a single side-draft weber/dellorto is quite common but don't expect big gain. Try to find a GX oval port head w/ twin SU's-best value I reckon!

Hmmm....well, I haven't had a good look at a real A-series Comp head before but surely the intake ports should be bigger? The intake ports on the ebay listing look round as opposed to oval. No water holes might suggest they were filled for extractors but you can't even see the fill. Not sure if it's anything special but in my opinion not a GX. You should ask the seller for more info or better photos

N13's had a 1.8lt Holden Camira engine didn't it? Not sure about the 1.6's though. My old man owns a 1994(Jap Made) N14 Pulsar Q with a GA16. I can confirm it is an EFI TWIN CAM 16valve 1.6lt , cross flow with Variable Timing Camshaft (VTC). Factory specs says 81kw@6000rpm, 147Nm @4000rpm. These engines were also used in N15 1.6's.

Not sure about an E15- were they the engines in N12- 1984 Pulsars? If so, in my opinion they weren't that good. Our family have had Datsuns/Nissans of different types since 1975. The GA16 twin cam from a N14 Pulsar is quite good but I am not sure if there are RWD g'boxes, you may have to mod one.

on ya mate, I'm not knocking the XD, I have owned V8's before but if you have to lose one of them, it should be the V8, makes sense as you say considering the price of petrol. Yeah, its easier to keep the XD, harder to find parts for the Datto, but what gives you more enjoyment and which is more unique? But don't give up, try and keep both.
