well correct, but I'd imagine the car manufacturers would order extra quantities of the parts bin's stock then needed for production line fitment, intended for spare parts supply. Don;t forget that there are alot of outside companies making bits and pieces like say heater ducts or door mouldings and not all of these companies keep making these items or go out of business etc. that's why (apart from lack of demand) thats why alot of the parts are NLA (No Longer Available, so no one has to ask that one either ;) hopefully rare spares will see the light and start making the hard to find jap parts soon.. crazy if they don't really.

try belting a slightly smaller socket onto it, especially if you have already done a good job rounding it :) .. have you tried a little bit of heat with an oxy or a one of those bernzomatic butane burners? tried pouring penetrene on it liberally for a few nights prior to undoing it? also wurth do this spray that has penetrating oil combined with a freezing compound call rost-off which not many people know about but really helps. one of those metre long torsion bars really come in handy for doing jobs like this.

get one of those u-shaped water pipe benders that plumbers use. these are also handy for small adjustments when the job is almost finished : http://www.aeroflowperformance.com/im ... ht_weight_tube_bender.jpg
