Thanks for the confirmation. Like you, I also noticed that a few of the aftermarket bearings had the 30205 number, and that the 30305 is a larger bearing (62 OD.)

Appreciate your quick response as I'm changing the front bearings in my 1200 Coupe on Friday.

Cheers.

Hi all,

Just wanting confirmation on the front wheel bearing part numbers for the 1200 and the early 120Y (up to Oct '75).

The kits I can find for sale have a different part number for the inner bearing (30205, not 30305 as noted in the tech article). The outer bearing part number matches (30302)

Is it possible that there is a typo in the tech article and it should be 30205?

Cheers.

BProjects don't have them unfortunately, I need part number 48805-H1033 for the collapsible type in the coupe. Hopefully someone has one they are willing to part with.

Hi Guys,

I'm chasing Steering Column (Collapsible type) and Steering Box for a 1200 Coupe, preferably in the Melbourne Australia area. Tried to find one a couple of years ago but no luck.

Cheers.

Hi Supafatto,

I was chasing a 1200 Coupe Steering Column (Collapsible type) and steering box a couple of years ago, wondering if you still have one I could buy off you. Cheers.

Datsun 1200 Clutch Cable problem

Hi Guys,

Just replaced the clutch cable on my 1200 coupe. After a week I have noticed at the top end of the cable the rubber between the two large washers near the adjusting nuts is being compressed too much and is deforming and tearing. Clutch pressure feels normal. The new cable was purchased off ebay, may have too soft rubber. Anybody else experienced this? Should I try to find a genuine cable?

Cheers.

Hi Guys,

I'm chasing a new boot seal for my 1200 Coupe. The rubber kit I bought for the car contains a thick seal for a 1600/180B, which might fit the 1200 sedan, but it sticks up in the 4 corners of the Coupe, causing gaps. Anyone know where I can purchase a coupe seal? I'm in Melbourne, Australia. Cheers.
