Do you have the 4 bolt alloy housing that the oil filter screws onto. The current one I have has a oil cooler attached to it and I am just after the one that is just the filter housing. I hope this make sence, I think some turbo motors and auto's had the little round engine oil cooler fitted to them.

One Joint that come to mind in Sydney is Sefton Smash Repairs. The bloke there did some very nice custom work on my mates Crappadoor Trayback ute. So much so that he was invited to a ute show in Melbourne to display it.

You are really chasing a workshop that doesnt deal soley in insurance work, they are only interested in high turnover quick work. You are after a workshop that prides itself on rebuilding/customising your pride and joy. Google a few joints and make some phone calls, a quick chat to each joint will soon tell you if you want to hand over coin to them.

Just a quick google of "custom panel and paint" showed up

and

SYDNEY

or take a look at this link from HOK paint and call a few of these guys.

You might find it hard to get much feed back as allot of members do the work them selves to save their coin, me included... :)

Silly question but whats so rare about them, they are just a standard wheel nuts, right? I just went to supercheap and got some standard wheel nuts and they work fine.

I know this is on the fuel tank side but wouldnt be hard to move it across. Mine was very simple to make, just used 25x25 angle cut to the size of my battery (plus a little extra) and some flat steel as side braces. I also made plates that go inside the vehicle to help brace the wall as its only thin steel

Have a look at my build, there are a few more pics of the battery tray.

The 2 I have on file are below. Due to the thickness of the oil cooler I cant fit it between the radiator and the intercooler, behind the radiator I think is pointless as that air is getting hot from cooling the Rad and the intercooler. In front of the cooler is an already slightly releived/hacked up grill so I am reluctant to hack out any more. I dont want the oil cooler hanging low and exposed as the ute will be a daily driver.

I am kinda struggeling for room so it was more for fit than for function. I am planning on using some alloy brake cooling ducting to vent some air onto the cooler as well as fitting a pair of 5in thermos to it. I agree its not in the best spot for air flow but other than running meters of hose to the rear and putting it under the tray I am kinda stuck. Although running metres of hose to the rear would have increased my oil capacity somewhat more than the engine bay mount.
