NOT SHOP BOUGHT maybe you can us you a spanner to refit AS COMPLETE UNIT HAVE FUN FITTING THEM IN ALL THE BREAK DOWN PEICE'S HOW YOU RESET THE SPRING'S (UPGRADE TO SURPORT HARDER DRIVEN) BET YOU BUY NEW ONE'S OR SEND IT TO A WORK SHOP ME I REBUILD THEM COMPLETELY RESET RECLAMP AFTER COMPLETE BREAK DOWN SEPERATE WHOLE THING SO IT'S IN 8 PIECE'S DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE AND THEN REFIT (WITH COMPRESION TOOL'S ) OHHH AND USE A SPANNER AFTER THIS HAS BEEN DONE OR YOU USE THET THIRD EYE TO SEPERATE THE SPRING APPERATUS AND A SPANNER TO REBUILD THEM FUNNY WORD POGO STICK PROVEN TO BE BETTER DESIGN WORLD WIDE

a 12 was a revised a10 but with noticable difference's being big end cap's as well' as stroke
technically two extra big end mount's ( crank cap's) was added to the mold used in the 1000 model A 10 motor...bring it up to a five big end mounting arrangement... Was fingered with majorly cheeper to add bit to the mold than totally re design the whole block (present motor for example from E 12 motor to the E 15 pulsar donk's The brake's also had brake fade in the early 1000 because of the non use of the tandem set up or brake booster beside's was not fitted with booster or twin tadem by pass method because of not discovering the correct delivery system due to the patiet law's on other car's truck's of yester year the by pass system did not come out til later used in late 69 was designed in 65 66 ..... I get a hard on given it sh@t Go cart steerin is cool I have dirrect drive in my B 10 ute A12 serie's motor (removed all free play from in the steerin box adjusted (shimmed) worm and sector to enhance the effect )... now it's sweeeeeet NOT RECOMENDED IF NOT TRAINED IN ALLMECHANICAL FEILD'S OR HAVE LESS THAN TWENTY FIVE YEAR'S DRIVING EXPREINCE.... STILL DON'T TRY IT ...... driver builder dreamer's Should know about the ride under their bum's. 1967 the new style front grill (seven bar all pressed steel) New grill new stlye .....latest....... it made the wee car look older sexier ....the style was a hit The same style remained until 1970's model's avalible ..... 1000 cc two door sedan ,,,wagon,,,utility. 1200cc four door sedan,,, two door coupe,,,utility DATSUN 1000 ,1200 SERIE'S B 10 , B 110 1967 TO 1969 Come with automatic tranmission 2. three speed manaul gear box (colum) 3. four speed manual tran's (some had the colum arrangment ) rest had floor arrangemnt .. A 10 was the motor used in the earlist model's (988cc) displacement over head valve ..... other wize known as the 1000.....8.5:1 compression rated from factory 56 horse power the stroke was 59 mm (meaning the travel of the piston drive's up and down the piston bore) inside the cyclinder block. Datsun factory put the hitachi DCG 286 twin barrel carby. The fuel pump coofed up a mild 0.16 kgs (2.28 psi) of delivery preasure the oil in the catchment area called the sump ..surported 3.58 litre's of S A E 30 GRADE Front suspenion was made up with a huge ugly upside down leaf spring major hasle to service or repair it best left to a block (chick) know's what's the G......O What the fine print is all about The rear had leaf also better arangement easy to service (also had helper spring) to surport incase of over loading was optional extra plus cost...... More avalible in the after market than from the factory floor Braking system was made up with... .one cyclinder master unit. drum brake's all round front to back 273 cm in dia differtail they had a couple to choose from ratio's started at 4.1111:1 in the sedan's and 4.375:1 in the station sedan (ute coupe) later added the ratio's of 3.900:1 (datsun part) 3.950:1 (HUNTING FOR THE DONNER VEHICLE) Fuel tank's are in the size of SEDAN 35 litre's station wagon ,van, ute 30 litre's Ater the new A 12 was fitted same motor just re machined to greater displacement (1171cc) known as the 1200 ....9.0:1 68 horse power the stroke was 70 mm this measurement is found (only when comparing the connecting rod's length) between 1000 to the 1200 1000 size was116.98 117.30 mm 1200 size was 121.48 121.54 mm DATSUN factory fitted the same carby just revised (fingered with it ) made few noticable difference's Huge performance difference renamed it the DCG 306 Really added a power valve to second throat for better High speed operation the fuel pump look's the same but not to be fooled the 1200 has little bit more drive preasure at 0.18 kgs (2.56 psi) A must if you are upgrading the motor (greater displacement) Need's more fuel gotta go quika no question's This was made availble through mechanical pump's ...bolt to the block ....or (eletriic mean's) placedment reckmended according per manifacture's instruction's The amount of oil in the engine sump was quite strange one would of thought bigger motor more oil ...It has less oil a mild 3.24 litre with the oil filter full ... the grade oil was chossin mainly by condition's the vehicle's had to operate in cold (extreem) S A E 30 ( Recommended) extreem heat and dust even the a mount of use it would have (distance's) long travel's The under body was fingered about too for the better new disc drake's on the market also added the twin master cyclinder drum brake rear 273 cm dia sweet wittle disc"s on the front 212.5 mm wide and a mild 9.5 mm thick STOPPED Them fine Fuel was in the size's of sedan 40 litre's coupe van ute station wagon 38 litre's Old school front upside down suspenion (leaf spring) was scrapped and replaced with the very clever coil over strut design ....made it possible for every day spanner hand's able to replace fix WITH OUT THE HUGE MUNGREL BIT'S OF MACHINARY in the work shop's this also was a hit and stayed in datsun's (NISSAN) engineering book....
