General common sense and look for the rust everywhere especially under the carpet, this is usually the worst, I know mine has rust underthere and I can see the road while I am driving.....hehehe feels like flying..as for mechanical things well they can always get fixed or replaced...for me thats OK...its just the rust look everywhere....

I have a Sunny Coupe and I have already installed an SR20-DET into it with 5 Speed box...... Now I am working on the suspension
while a friend is doing the rust repairs to the floor.

No such thing as a sunny 1200 ute,
Its just a 1200 ute always has been and in South Africa they still produce the 1200 Ute exactly the same outside with improvements on the inside, and has 5 Speed box though,
Oh and its Nissan now you can import them them in Australia I just can't remember who does it. Just imagine new panels dash and whatever else mmmmmmmm
