If you want any info on how to build 120y rally car, you are welcome to email for information, i built my car up from scratch 3 years ago, and always interesting in getting more 120y's out there rallying (yeah i know im a sick man!)

The story about fury's car is very impressive but the rules got changed in the early 80's, this car was called a group G car, where you could put any motor and g/box in any car and go and race, this got very dangerous after a while and thus why the rules changed.

Rally cars are now built PRC (production rally car)rules, which are stated in the CAMS motorsport manual.

Try Bond Roll bars in QLD, i bought mine from there for my 120y rally car, pretty simple to fit and they can freight it down for you, they are a bolt in cage.

If you need any info on these cages just email me

Cheers

I tryed my first bitumen motorkhana on the weekend and i sucked, stuffed up so many times but still had a lot of fun.
Somehow i seem to have no problems racing in the forest, its a kick arse experience if u ever get the chance, after a few rallies u find the nerves go away and u concentrate on the lines to take, and getting your braking points right , but the buzz you get from when the start mashall starts counting u down 3 2 1, thats what gets the blood pumping!!!!!!!!!!
did u get to pace not the courses before u started?
where allowed to pace note here in SA and boy does it help with your stage times and confidence.

Are u still going to be driving on the street if you put a half cage in?,
im not sure about the NSW laws but roll cages of any sorts are illegal in SA unless ur car is a dedicated rally or race car which means u need event permits to drive in on the road!
Harness are also illegal as they can retrict your vision on the road, id be sticking to seat belts and no cage if you dont want the piggers picking on u!

Also need to try and build something on a very small budget and ideas anybody?

These are to go into a 120y, ill try and post some pics from the weekend when i get time!

in my rally car i use standard engine mounts, but i have made up plates with chains welded to them and they bolt upto the mounting points, so if they do break the engine dont go far
