Hi Phil for some reason when I try to reply to the private message it doesn;t work so I'll reply here , I purchased the motor of a guy in Townsville who had it still atached to half a 120Y , I removed it with the intention of putting the 1200 in my 1000 ute , but seeing as I got a house to renovate I don't have the time and my 1000 motor is running fine(touch wood) so I've had it covered up undercover, I have not run it, and was assured it runs ok by the bloke I bought it off, I have had it for approx 6-8 months and occasionally spray WD-40 on it to prevent corrosion. I'm talking about "Vintage" for registration purposes, if the clubs go by some other name so be it, but to qualify for "Vintage" Plates the vehicle needs to be 30 years or older and a member of a club

Just wondering if there is a classic car club for or including Datsuns in North Queensland, as my Datsun 1000 ute is a 1970 model it qualifies age wise ?

Yes I have the headlight guards , they're in need of some love, need minor straightening and sanding
