Well my bodywork man removed the gas tank cover lock on his Sunny and filled in the hole. He then rigged up a system like a modern car when you pull a level in the car down by the seat and the cover opened. I never asked him how he did it but I could ask him if you want.

Hey everyone. I need some help. When I bought my car it didn't have the chrome strips which fit in the windshield and back glass rubber. I managed to obtain a set. I had to take out the front windscreen so I put them in when it was out.

But I need some tips on getting the ones into the rear windshield rubber without having to take the whole glass out. I tired pushing them in but they only go about halfway then it becomes impossible to move them any further. Any way to get them in?

Oh the car is a B310

Yeah some more pics and some measurements and info like the type of material to use would be greatly appreciated. (Nice engine bay btw, would like to have an SR20DET in mine someday )

Do you find it offers a good improvement in handling though?

Are there any companies that sell strut bars for the Datsun B310? I was searching through the forum and online but found nothing. Saw quite a few selling for the Datsun 510 but I doubt they would work back.

Can anyone help?

Yeah the A12 is real durable. Stick to regular maintenance and it should never skip a beat.

Thats pretty insane. Test it on another dyno and let us know the results though, because that is a lot of power for a 1200. I didn't even think the head could deliver enough air to make that sort of power. If that hp figure is accurate than I would really love to know what parts and work went into that engine cuz...well...wow!

Yeah, depending on the tread wear and type of tyre you have on, usually a narrower tyre will dispel water faster than a wider one.

What kind of Datsun do you have? I don't see why you should have a problem with rubbing with that wheel/tyre combo. I recently put on some 13x7" wheels running 185/60/13 tyres on my Sunny and I don't have a problem with rubbing...

So does that mean the exhausts are the same size too? Or could you bolt an A15 exhaust on to an A12 and get a bit more power?

I've run out a few times. One time right as I was pulling into my gap.
Another time I was about 5 minutes from home and it ran out. However after about 2 minutes it started and I made it home. I guess the engine cooled and some gas fumes condensed, giving me enough fuel to go another 5km.

Hopefully when I get a working gas tank sensor it won't happen anymore cuz right now the needle is permanently on E.
