You are echoing my sentiments exactly.
I initially spoke to my friend (who I consider to be THE most knowlegeable person in autos) about playing around with the Yellow Peril, e.g. rims, conversions etc. Together we decided that she is such a lovely specimen it would be sacrilege to touch her in any other way other than an admiring stroke,lol. I will be placing an ad in our local press and we (my friend and I) are certain we will receive an acceptable offer.
Like I mentioned in a previous post, I would be very happy if the person who "adopts" her will keep her as she is but unfortunately that will ultimately be beyond my control.

I think it is worth more. It is the 1200 GX Coupe...the work required is minimal,has had one owner and turns heads whenever it is taken out of its garage(which is seldom)If I don't get my price I will quite simply leave it in the garage and wait for the person who appreciates its classic value as an unspoiled vehicle(there have been NO conversions,no additions and it is 100% original)This is not a vehicle I would carve up in any way.I may not have control over what its eventual owner will do to it BUT I will sell it first to the person who would wish to keep it in its original state.

Greetings all.
I am wondering if anyone would be interested in my moms Datsun 1200GX.
It is a 1975 model and has done 78,800Km's. At my insistence we overhauled the motor approx 1000Km's ago (mom did not ever go faster than 40 to 50 Km's per hour and always within a Km or two from home and the motor needed a good cleanup because of that)
She (Yellow_Peril not mom) is in lovely condition-have pics,will look around the site to see where to post them) There is a TINY bit of rust - just in front of doors and a dot or two under the right rear taillight. I think the shocks, suspension and brakes will need a bit of work. I am placing this ad as I am sure the true collector would prefer to see the vehicle before we touch her up.
