So on the telly there was an ad with some guy bragging about "the problem with having too many toys is that you dont get to use them all" or something like that, wasnt really paying that much attention at the time so I cant remember the brand or any other technical details he probably didn't touch on.

My Datto hasnt been a daily for some time. I try and get it out on nice days, but free time and nice days don't coincide that often so it might sit there for a couple of months at a time. Im aware of the issues stale fuel can cause, so far i've had no issues using month-old fuel and topping it up with fresh, not ideal i know but the prospect of having to drain the tank and replace with fresh before each use isn't too appealing...
So thinking some of you might be in the same situation...and i know some of you have more toys.

So anyone use or recommend this (whatever it was) or similar products? know if and/or how its supposed to work? What other systems do you have in place for intermittent use of your Datsun?

They do look good with Watts

I think visually I'm still trying to wrap my head around them, My intitial reaction was similar to Shootas...but the slammed retro truck look they suggest has grown on me.
Not too sure on the new "blobby" styling tho

Hi guys, on the back of the Great Wall discussion, was wondering if any of you have any experiences or opinions on the Nissan Cube.
Now I know some of you might think they are funny looking...but the mrs is a clown so it seems to suit her profession perfectly, practical too as it has room for her kit and hula hoops etc, low-loading doors and still small and nimble enough to get around town traffic too. She has a Festiva at the moment, and has expressed that while she'd like more space...she doesnt really want to go too much bigger/less economical.

There seems to be a lot of them really cheap second hand 10-15k (our budget) with 60k average on the clock, for such a new car, is there some reason people are selling them besides maybe they decided the look wasn't for them?

The wiki here gives the engine a big thumbs up, (for a Datsun at least :)...what about the rest?
Your thoughts or alternative suggestions appreciated!

Guy has spent ages getting the car to look this way, notice how the lichen blends with the matt greens and rust tones. This is indeed a fine ratsun. Check the twin pipes at the back :)

Thats creepy mik
Bogans were pretty cool where I grew up, they had the best cars, women, drugs, practical clothes (flannies and ugg/desert boots) all with a pretty awesome heavy metal soundtrack.
Too bad nowadays they wear pink v neck tshirts and listen to techno and drive around with one whole arm hanging out the car like theyve had a stroke...or are they trying to wear thier vehicles like a giant tank-top?
But yes...thats pretty cool someone other than dd in the states knows what a Holden is...or is there an even bigger following over there?

haha so true, hadn't even thought of that!
Seriously ppl should be approaching engineering companies for sponsorship if they have the smarts. Maybe its even the direction our automobile manufacturers could (should?) be looking in, what have some of them got to lose ey?

Makes you wonder where we'd be if Nikola Tesla, hadn't been written out of the history books :(

Ive started with a 7.2v 1/10 Datsun 510 the other day(expensive enough!) ...Maybe just gradually step up the scale ;)

Yes we've had this subject before...but thanks for reposting it because it reminds us of how important John's work and message is. It also rekindles my interest in this being the ultimate fantasy direction for my own wagon. Tho still so much to learn to make it a reality. (might have to practice on some other cars first?)
Unfortunately this technology is still expensive, so a good time to learn the theory I guess...tho working in telco construction I see pallets of high-end UPS batterys everyday...sooo tempting!
D, his daily blue 1200 still has the transmission in.

You should be able to ban sellers from your future searches.

I have lotsa keywords set, a pet hate is when my search results are spammed by someone who lists 100s of "vintage" catalogs, ads or prints that vaguely associate with the keyword.
