Just came across some pics of this 1200 ute which was unveiled at MotorEx which is on this weekend. Interesting to see a ute built to compete at this level but I'm sure the styling will leave people divided...

Just having a joke

As an engine builder I reckon he should be recommending options to you. All depends on what power level you're trying to reach. If you're going to the trouble of going putting a stroker crank in it, then it sounds like you're aiming for big numbers so then yes you probably should go to the effort of springs, retainers etc. But in other threads you say you only want 300hp, in which case you could probably pass.

Who are you getting to build it for you?

Would polishing for the strut covers be an option like with your plenums? What would that bump the price up to?

At that power level I'd consider doing a cut and shut RB25 or Z32 conversion or an auto.
