Ok guys I just had a mate round who is a mechanic and he reckons the capacitor that hangs off the side may be stuffed. What do you guys think? Also anyone know the type I should ask for when getting a new one? Knowing part shops they wont have any 1000 stuff in their books.

Well i still dunno whats goin on ive got the new coil GT40 this time and still nothing, its getting power to it but no spark coming out!!! im getting pretty frustrated as this is my only transport and have to try and get to and from work.

Any ideas please

Oh I do have an alarm but I dont think that is the problem as it is getting power to it.

Also the Echlin book for coils has them down as a resistor coil so even the makers get it wrong :)
