between the sr20de and the ca18det which has better acceleration off the mark??
and which one has the better top end speed??

i was just wondering how much do i need to widen the tunnel of a 1979 datsun 1200 ute to allow for the appropriate size to fit the gearbox that will attatch to a ca18det...
or is it easier to cut out the old tunnel an get a different one welded in its place?? if so which tunnel is my best option for this transplant??

its for a 1200 ute 1979 model..
i would prefer not to do too much tunnel widening to fit these in tho.

if i was putting in a ca18det or sr20det what kinds of drive trains and diffs should i look at replacing the orriginal so that it is appropriate for the power increase of the engine..
i have had a good look through this site and i would like to know the most common conversion and also what you think would be best suited.

wat price do u recon a custom dash like that dashboard sets someone bak??

i was just wondering if anyone knows of a modern type dashboard settup (eg- datsan/nissan, barina, carolla) that, with some minor adjustments, will fit into a 1200 ute???

can i get some light shed on my puzzle.

i have a 1979 datsun 1200 ute which i am doing a complete rebuild on. it came with an A15 engine, that will deffinately need a clean and possibly a rebuild.
i want to get a lot more power but dont want to get too costly, as i have heard it is easier/cheaper to do an engine swap.
i was wondering whether i should keep the A15 and work it or get a ca18det or sr20det.
if it is easier to swap to one of the other two engines what kind of work will need to be done to the engine bay and car body to allow for the engine???

any help will be much apreciated.
