Thanks for the comments boys, shes definatly a lil weapon. Usual story... i dont want to sell it but my situation at the moment forces me to. It hardly gets driven these days so its time for someone else to enjoy it.

Update - The turbo is not a GT3071R as previously stated, its a bit of a custom jobbie, fly by from Datnet supplied the turbo to the previous owner when the car was being built...

Actually re the wheels... i was going to do it up semi boso style with wing mirrors, black bolt on flares and drop it on some deep dish 14x9's or even 10's.... but i decided not to cut up the guards since ive decided to sell it...

Thanks for the kind words... im actually the second owner since the car was built - by Buckley Street Autotech in Merrickville, so its no backyard build (not that a backyard build is necessarily a bad thing). But this has been built to a high standard.

Cheers

Hi all im running a GT28/30 turbo on what suspiciously looks like an ebay special el cheapo high mount turbo manifold.

It was fitted by the PO and the welds began to crack in the manifold a few months after i bouught the 1200, i had them welded up but a couple months later they have cracked again.

Has anyone else had problems with ebay manifolds? Im tempted to try my luck depending on others experiences... but im thinking the weight of the turbo could be the main reason the welds cracked.

Should i just save my beans and go full custom with bracing or try my luck with an ebay manifold and get some custom bracing made up to take some of the weight off it?

Cheers!

My CA 1200 sedan has around 320HP and it run stanza brakes at the front with cross drilled+slotted DBA rotors with EBC pads and R31 discs at the rear... brake fade is never a problem but brake bias is... it locks up the rears first, its ok if you are setting up for corners in a racing situation but its not what you want if you need to brake in the wet in a hurry on the street... i will be upgrading the fronts sometime soon me thinks.

Hi all, has anyone converted a 4 door 1200 to 2 door?

I know some of the 1600 guys have done it but it looks a bit wonky, i did a quick photoshop on these two 1200 sedans and it looks pretty good?

Ultimately i would like to weld up the rear doors on a sedan and add the coupe flares (it's a race car).

It almost looks like the original 2 door sedan, just not as curvy, but still well proportioned.
