I have to agree with Mareo, the sedan does look better than the coupe. Its that over here in Australia the coupe is the 1200 that most people do up and the sedan left bog stock and driven around by grandpas. I don't know why exactly, but i always try to be different and have different opinions on things, good to see someone agrees on the sedan as a looker over the coupe, most people i have spoken to think that the coupe is ugly? Well thats why i have two sedans and to be more different a 1200 wagon. My ultimate project is a 1200 wagon, SR20DET, Simmons FR 5 spoke mags velour interior(sorta street 'n' race dragin' mobile) as i have not seen any street driven done up 1200 wagons, just like being different i supose. Tens and twenties is right, coupes straight up and down, sedan angled.

In my 1200 at the monent i have an A12 of some sort. The thing is that has really worried me is the head on it. Anyone out there tell me if they have a 1200 head with the intake manifold with the same stud patern as an A14 or A15 same shape and everything but with round ports like a standard 1200 head (not oval). These heads are quite rare to find. The block looks like your standard A12 block with the distributor in the middle, but could this be a A12A motor or head?

Swapping Gears In 5 Speed Overdrive Box |

I was just looking through the performance parts catalogue in the photos, i just noticed the 5 speed close ratio gears. My question is, Can you change the gears from the overdrive gearbox (A series box) to close ratio gears? An easier way than finding a close ratio box as rally drivers have almost used them all up. The reason being that i have a overdrive 5 speed and sure i like the extra gear and that it is good for cruising with that gear but now as i am going to be upping the anty on the motor and i really want to blitz cars off the lights. Sure i can already do it quite easily now without trying to, i just take off quite casually like every one else does or at least they try to keep up but i have already got the jump on them (i suppose the locked diff would help a bit as you can rev it up and dump it, squeel a bit then take off) now i just want to do it more. So does any one feel how i feel and is this possible exercise? Keep It Sideways Anthony

I don't know if any of you out there actually read my question on these mags but i still would like some info. As i said, i have seen them on a Datsun Sunny and my question was, Do they fit on standard 1200 struts? The ET Pulsar is front wheel drive and i was just wondering if they would have enough clearance on the front strut (on the inside of the tyre against the strut and would they have enough clearance on the rear, on the inside of the tyre (does it rub against the body). Has anyone ever put these rims on a 1200 before?

Ok boostn 12 count me in,i think i will have the slowest dato but hey its a dato 1200 sedan with a locked diff so it is all good or sould i say squeek squeek around every corner i turn!lol. I think either fri, sat or sunday night this weekend is good for me any time after about 9:30 fri, 7 sat or whatever time sun. Ok i also have a question about some mags that i will get for heaps cheap with tyres. Ok they are nissan pulsar ET turbo mags, i think they are 13 inchers but they are as big as i want at the moment until i can afford some of those simmons 5 spoke mags. hm hm expensive shit they are. I have seen the et mags on a sunny so i think that they should fit, but my question is do they fit on the standard 1200 struts with out scrubbing the strut. They are a front wheel offset so does that mean anything to anyone, maybe spacers are needed, any replys would be handy keep it sideways! Anthony
