I like the 'have faith slogan' here, SO yeah anything is possible, just try to explain 1400 and normally aspirated?? Does it have to say 1400 on the block? Is nitrous an option? HOW can you 'impair' the driver of the cobra that he will not be able to complete the 1/4 mile...the options are vast

Firstly welcome to the club Dale7. From my understanding the standard 1400 back in 1980 was a 63 hp 'powerplant'. We had an upgrade to 71 hp only on the 1983 models and today they are back again to 63 hp...why??? Who cares there are T&N's that change the horses

The ute's are standard 1400 now with a 5 speed gearbox. You get the standard model and the 1400 champ. The champ ute/bakkie has the rev counter, bucket seats spots etc. And yes they're still in production. A brand new 2003 Champ will set you back +\- R70 000 and second hand utes that is still in good condition about R30 000, that is about $ in Aus 14000 for a new one and about $ 6000 for a 1996 model.
Here's a link if you want to have a look at second hand ute's http://www.cars4sale.co.za do a basic search on Nissan in any region of Sout Africa

the 1400 bakkie in South Africa is still powered by the Hitachi and I haven't heard anything about a efi on it yet. I don't know where else in the world Nissan is still producing the 1400 ute/bakkie maybe someone can fill us in on the details

Can do as you'll have to fix it again, just seal it with a copper sealer,
with o-ring you can use a gasket it just make it seal better under pressure
