Thanks so much! I just watched that one that you sent and now I'm addicted, I'll binge watch the rest :)

Are you giving the rust repairs a shot yourself?

Hoping that someone will be able to help me with this.

I have been a long time member but unfortunately have not had the courage to post much content.

I have owned my Datsun 1200 sedan for about 12 years now and decided to strip it down and give it the care it needs.

I have never welded myself and I don't have the space or equipment to weld so I'm looking to see if there is someone in Sydney who would be willing to assist? I'm not in a rush to get the work done (mainly because I will need to build up some cash flow as I go) and it would be paid - not sure what the going rate is. Any recommendations of shops or individuals that work from home would also be appreciated.

I couldn't attach these pictures as they are too large in file size but you should be able to click the links below. The majority of the rust is in the standard Datsun areas - passenger/drivers side floor, wheel arch, firewall, water box.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks for the help guys!

Would definitely be interested in the rubber mount and pilot bush (sent you a PM).

I have the crossmember from the T50 still attached to the gearbox, any idea if that would work?

Hey guys! Havent been on the forums for a while.

Been thinking about doing the mentioned conversion. I have the gearbox but what else is needed exactly? I had a look through the wiki but I wanted more specific details if possible.

I know the tailshaft needs shortening but does anyone know by how much? I have a document from Dellow(supplying kit for conversion) that states what I need but I think its wrong - For eg. in the wiki it says the speedo cable should fit up but in the Dellow kit they supply a new cable for $95, an expense i may not need.

I uploaded the document if someone could have a look and let me know which parts are actually needed. Sorry I made it a bit confusing. Any help would be great.

Cheers
