Hi guys,

Just wondering what company you guys go through for insurance... I just went to renew the policy with RACQ with my wheels and they wont insure them...

I want full comprehensive and I want agreed value, as a Market Value of $1450 is just not right!

Any Help?

I'm with Shannon's insured for $6000, cost me about $26 a month...

tho it all depends on your age (i'm 31) and how many clams you have made, your post code, how much you drive it......

I was trying to sort out some for the wagon here in NZ today and all they think its worth is $3000. I am like WTF??? As it has the factory A series EFI manifold and a 60L(dogleg 5 speed). Plus the mags etc....... So they will not insure it for any more, as they dont think that its worth any more. But to me its all about the sum of its parts that should make up what its worth.

Just Car is who I'm with. They're actually a sister co. to Shannons - same backer etc.

Agreed value, and all sorts of mods - not a problem.

When I was looking to insure my usual co. - RACQ, wouldn't touch it and they tolds me that Shannons and Just Car were really my only options.

I went with Just Car to save a few dollars, they didn't offer choice of repairer or free windscreen and a few other things which didn't bother me.

Anyway if you go into my profile and pick up the thread on my run in with a kangaroo you'll see that I made a claim on the day I bought the car and Just Car sorted it no problems.
