Did the LHD Datsun B210 have an option for a small clock?

I really want a clock in my car (1976 Datsun B210), because I think that it's really cool. Don't ask me why, I just have weird tastes. There is a left hand drive variant of the square clocks, which takes up one of 3 spots in the dash cluster.

However, that's where I want to put a tachometer. I see that there is a small clock variant like shown below in right hand drive cars. My car has the "D" plate, so one would think that I could put a small clock there.

I can't for the life of me find any images or information on this clock outside of the 5 pictures on the tech wiki (http://datsun1200.com/modules/mediawi ... dex.php?title=B210_Gauges). Does anyone know any information? Am I missing something? Is the small clock even possible for my car? I'm also kind of interested in the calendar, so maybe some information on that too pleas.

I'm new to this community and to the datsun community in general, so sorry if the is a stupid question.

It's a great question. The B210 is the successor to the B110 Datsun 1200, so something at least some of us are interested in

at a guess, id think it will fit, the large one differs LHD vs RHD while small one looks same

But maybe not easy to find in USA where the large clock was common. Maybe get one from Yahoo but right now they only have a large B110 clock

Thank you very much. I haven't been able to find any small clocks as of yet, but I have been able to find some other parts that I've been looking for, so thank you for that.

They are around, they tend to be expensive for some reason. They were fitted to the coupes. I have never seen any datsun clock of any kind that works though. I believe it is possible to retrofit a new mechanism.

I'd like to get the calendar though. I'd be so useful for... i don't know, making sure you don't accidentally drive to work on a Sunday

I looked through the B210 Brochures for USA and only saw large clocks. Even the two Accessories brochures only showed large ones>

From the AUS brochures it looks like Clock was standard equipment on the 4-door and Coupe, but not on the 2-door>
your best bet might be eBay worldwide search or Trademe -- search for 120Y Clock

Clock mechanisms can be fixed, but not many have the old fashioned know-how to do it

That reminds me, there's a nice old couple near that have a shop that repairs automotive instruments. That is all they do and they've had the shop for 50 years. Very interesting to chat to. I brought in my 180km 120y speedo to have the odo reset and they instantly recognised it as a JDM item.

Anyway they have a nice write-up about car clocks on their website

Nice, that's the kind of repair shop i was thinking of

while cleaning up the B210 Gauges article -- much better now -- and found it does have the USA parts info
Quote:
North America
Small Clock - OPTION - H50 types same as JDM
27380-H7211 ASSY-CLOCK,SMALL TYPE (K.S.) FOR SERVICE OP 0875-
27380-H5016 ASSY-CLOCK,SMALL TYPE (K.S.) <> 27380-H5015
27380-H5001 ASSY-CLOCK,SMALL TYPE (JECO)

So there were two types early (JECO) and late (Kanto-Seiki)
