#1 Fuse Box
Team_Dat Posted on: 2004/7/13 4:37
Hey guys well i went and broke something yesterday trying to fix something. (isn't it always the way)
anyway i broke one of the clips the fuse clips into and was wondering if i solder it will it get too hot for the solder or will it be fine.. now that is thew quick fix so i can keep driving my machine but i want to change to one of those blade fuse kits. NARVA make them and i have purchased it in haste but now that i look at my fuse box i have 1 negative wire running down to a plate that all the clips are on and idividual wires for the positive. am i right? anyway is it ok to solder 4 wires onto the end of the negative wire so i can slplit it to run to each negative side of the fuse box? this is the box below.

any help would be great.

technically yes it is ok to split a negative into different locations. Just remember to use the right wire guage to get the least resistance possible

so does that mean the same gauge as the negative is now or each wire together equals the gauge of the original you split it from?

I suggest using the same guage as the original. however i have seen reduced guage, but it isn't the best to do just remember the smaller the volts the bigger the gauge

well guys it went in without a hitch and i believe the lights are brighter than before must be the better contact half ot the clips were all corroded and stuff so i am very happy with the result. i suggest it to anyone who is having fuse box issues or need to replace theirs it probably costs the same and it's all new parts.
