ca18det lives again!

I've acquired an ex rally car that was fitted with a ca18det after it was deregistered. It was minus turbo, got one today from a wreckers yard (pretty hard to find here in NZ!) bolted it up today and turned the key. Now this car has been parked outside on my old man's lawn rusting away under a tree for 4 years without being moved once. It is covered in moss and crap, but that good old nissan CA just fired into life and ran beautifully!! No smoke, just blew a heap of rust out the exhaust pipe and purred away. I was stoked.
I intend putting it back to classic specs and get it re-registered for classic rallying, but that'll mean taking the CA18 out as it wasn't in series froduction before 1982!! Maybe I'll become addicted to that turbo rush and never take it out....

keep the turbo, just like a big wedding ring without the wife.
