Removing Ute Tailgate Handles

hey guys,
I'm chasing some info, what have people done who have removed the handles off the back of their utes?? I assume it would involve using a different model and make of ute's handle on the inside of the tailgate where it is a circle type handle?? ANyone got pics etc....? Cheers Damo
