My 1200 is getting a rebuild, and the turbo is stuffed - will cost as much to rebuild as to purchase a new turbo!
Does anyone know exactly what is involved to fit a gt28rs to a ca18det? All i have read is a bit vague -
1 the manifold flange is the same but doesn't quite line up so one bolt must be slotted.
2. oil lines must be modified (heated and bent into shape)
3. grind a bit out of the exhaust manifold (to accommodate larger compressor housing) OR use a spacer and longer studs.

I was going to use GT25 but was a bit complicated.
thanks,
justin
ps my low compression (120psi) was due to a cracked piston ring and stuffed valves. I have forged items now.
