Axle tramp dynamics

As a follow on from another thread, i would like to see if we can learn more about the dynamics of axle tramp in leaf sprung, live axle cars.

My own understanding of it goes like this.

Vehicle launches with lots of power.
Bigger tyres with plenty of traction prevent wheelspin, & vehicle inertia prevents energy release that would result from foward motion of vehicle, in the first few fractions of a second.

The pinion, now unable to push the front of the crownwheel down [causing axle shaft & wheel rotation] instead, climbs the crownwheel causing the axle housing to rotate in a backwards direction.

The leaf springs, which are the only thing connecting the axle housing to the chassis, bend into an "S" shape untill the load in them is greater than the traction of the tyres.

They then cause the tyres to break traction as they snap back into some semblance of normal shape.

The traction of the tyres is now greater than the load & the cycle restarts.

This is a very simplistic overview as i have known it, & I know that there are other factors at play, but if anyone can expand & clarify, then maybee we can all learn something.
