Can someone please tell me what the ute for sale on carsales.com.au is??? It's advertised as a 1200, but it has longer doors with no 1/4 windows. Different bumpers at the rear and what looks to be a slightly different front. Pretty sure it's not a 1000.
Can someone take a look and clear this up for me?

Were they sold in oz, or were they low volume imports?

Search for 'toyota ute' and read the comments that go with the pics I posted. They seem like a nice, although quite rare alternative to a nissan/Mazda

did that search and found a pic that "freak" had posted with the 1200, publica and the mazda 1000 next to each other.
makes for some interesting viewing. you can really see the difference in them... and man the lines of the 1200 really are the nicest to look at!

Maybe more leg room in the toyota, the full chasis in the mazda... but the 1200 still wins in my books!
