Anyone got a theory as to why so many new people on this site don't want anyone to know what part of the world they live in?

Didnt think it was important when they initially filled in the form ,then never got around to it later on.

they realised that dattos are best and left everything else in the dust but are afraid of the others as they are trying to get them for it.
Therefore not disclosing their identity for saftey reasons.

or they just forget and dont realise until someone points it out.... nah that doesnt happen.

at a guess i would say that when a new member registers to this forum, and discovers the wealth of information available here, they become so busy frantically scrolling through pages that filling out their profile doesnt even enter their mind.

people are watching.... dont post such a topic... they will see it and come for my precious datto..... oh no ive said too much

I like it the most when they DO put a town, city, state, country, in there. At least then you know if it relates to you or is in your area of the world.

I dont think anyone would be sick enough (as me) to come and steal or borrow one of my Cherry's.

Exactly my point Troy,the other day one of us responded to a person of un known place of residance on a mundane question that normally you would'nt bother,turns out he lives in the same suburb!!Result part supplied,problem solved in 20 minutes.Perhaps this should be a mandatory item.

Good knowlegde comes from everywhere, so where your from shouldn't be an issue,

Having said that it does help when it comes to buying and selling goods online.

Its dissapointing to find a part you want and then realise that the guy lives in WA and shipping to the east coast cost more than the item.
