Removing o-rings

Im in the process of doing the headgasket on the y at the moment and ive got to replace the o-rings ive got the first 2 out with a pick ok but the back 2 the gap where it joins is so small i cant even get a pick in there to remove them
 Anyone had to do this before and got any tips for me on how to get them out?
