Hi, i jst got my first car and of course i picked a datto its a little 120y, red 2 door sedan, and i was thinking of doing an engine conversion on it as it still has the original a12 motor in it. i was leaning towards an sr20 and i jst wondered if anyone new how different the engine mounts would be to wats in it now. But if anyone has any other suggestions on good engines that can go in easily im all ears.

turbo or no turbo?

i would be going for a non turbo as i cant get turbo till im off P plates.

if she's your first car, just clean it up and kick around in it standed for a while!! a lot of poeple trash or crash there first car!! so dont go pouring your life savings in to it just yet... wait abit and iron out the kinks, then once you know what you need , then get convertion parts when they pop up cheap!!

otherwise.. ca18de, rotory (havnt seen any for long time, ) or you could sqeeze some life out of the old a12..

If you can find a 180b, all the front end will swap over including the motor.

Cant go past that for an engine swap.
