what is the best batteries to use in this car?

I'm using Sears Group 26 battery is a lot lighter and more powerful than the original specification.
But you can get an even better one at lawn and tractor section with spade type terminals, weighs even less and only cost $25 USD. See Battery article for details on Battery fitment.
