#1 quad throttles help
Retal052 Posted on: 2009/3/31 11:18
Hey guys,
I need some major help setting up my A14 quad throttlebodies. I cant seem to tune them because my haltech reports 0kpa at 20% throttle. Can anyone help me out??? I have heard that one can put in a resivoir to store vacuum. However, when I do it just coughs and splutters, also is very laggy.

you will probably have better results tuning by throttle position Vs RPM

but it is correct, you will loose pretty much all the vaccum just off idle

Yeah you will get a better result using tps as your load sensing input. If you have to run a MAP sensor you'll probably have to build some sort of vaccum manifold with vacuum lines going to each intake runner. You'll have to fiddle with your throttle pump map to stop the lagginess.

bike TBs should have a TPS anyway....it's what they use.

bike throttle bodies also have a vaccum port in each runner that would work nice for MAP sensing
