#1 Any one in sydney tune dellortos for fun?
cracka50 Posted on: 2011/1/10 0:42
I just installed a pair of twin dellortos on my 1400, and supprise supprise it doesnt magically run perfect lol.

They were off a 1400 aswell so i thought they would be close, but i guess its the idle and mixtures that are out at the moment.

What could this usually cost as i have no idea what im doing.

As a rough guide, I was priced at $350.00 for a session that would involve a balance and timing check and tune, if it became apparent that the jetting would need to be altered they would go ahead with the changes and charge on a time basis. You obviously pay for the new alterations (jets chokes etc).

So I guess I wasn't expecting much change from $500 for a decent session and that price above was the best I could get.

I'm not sure how this price compares with other dyno places. But in all honesty you may be a little hard pressed to find someone, better off asking JTS or Stewart Wilkins or A.T.E Race engines.

In the past i have been able to read how to's but when it comes to going to the car and doing it i just cant get my head around it.

I live in sans souci 20min south of the airport, i dunno if they are "good"
they do look used though.

I have had more experience with Weber's rather than Dellorto's, but the way they operate is extremely similar. I live very local to you, drop me a PM if you would like a hand..
cheers
