House of Kolor paint is awesome, and so is expensive. You can get the most incredible colours and any custom color or paint type you want, even 2-pak from House of Kolor.

2-pak acrylic enamel is a professional product, so if you are painting the car yourself I recommend regular acrylic enamel. It dries shiny, needs no buffing, but takes a little longer to dry than 2-pak. And is inexpensive. A lot of old guys recommend acrylic laquer, but that needs buffing and rubbing.

Ive just painted up a bike and used upol two pack clear.

You lay down your base colour over your primer and then 3 coats of clear over the top. Achieved excellent results and the advantage of 2 pack is the gloss finish and you can get way without buffing unlike single pack lacquers.

A good gravity fed gun is a must and painting in a suitable environment.

the better options are ppg, concept paints, debeer. House of kolor is great but very very expensive, but with h.o.k you have too follow the procedures exactly.
Depending on where your situated there is many options available

H.O.K while im sure its great, it a bit of wank factor in my opinion. Automotive paint is expensive enough already.

Talked to John the guy that is doing the paint job on my ute today told him that i would like to use DuPont paint he then told me everything i need for a bare metal respray rang H.O.K an got a price $3500 just in products way to expensive for me.I was a bit sceptical about the workmanship but had a look at the work that he has just done and its very proffessional for someone that does the work in a huge shed on his farm
