how are people installing the turbo on the CA18s?
i have just discovered that i can not install the right angle piece for the water line that bolts to the engine block (just under exhaust port 3/4), as the head is on the motor it is impossible to install as you can not rotate it

im considering buying a kit of braided lines from ebay, but may still need that right angle piece installed?

i bought some lines second hand ages ago (metal and braided) but none seem to line up or be of any real use

just wondering what everyone else does?

am i right in thinking the lower small connection on the block 9towards the front) is the oil feed for the turbo, and the large connection up high under 3/4 exhaust is the water line?

1/8 BSP oil line hole is next hole above aircon mount
and water is down the back,water outlet i used a banjo bolt
into block no right angle fitting

well i checked out some ebay ones from japan, and hit buy it now, as best i can tell it comes with banjo to replace that 90 degree block as you have suggested

You need to loosen the oil line that feeds the 90deg block before loosening the other oil lines.
Remove turbo and the remaining lines. You should be able to remove the turbo, the drain line and the front oil line. This will leave the 90deg square thing in the block. You don't remove or install the front oil line while it's still attached to square block thing that screws into the block. Am I making any sense?

The banjo idea will make it easier to service the turbo, but it might reduce reliability just a little.

I made up my water lines based on this thread on nico forum http://forums.nicoclub.com/how-to-make-turbo-lines-t254366.html but it still requires the right angle fitting you are struggling to install. I bought the oil feed separately and it fit pretty easily. It is fairly hard the fit the lines in place unless you have someone to help hold the turbo while you tighten that waterline under the 3rd and 4th cylinder.

DEs dont have that outlet, so i just ran both of mine from the drivers side of the engine around the back of the head, one of the stock ones already does this. i just ran mine from the same place the heater lines come from on the engine

just made them out of some copper pipe and brazed the banjo fittings on the end
