Jetting problem with 32/36

Hey guys need some help with the jetting for my 32/36 DGAV downdraft carbie on my a15 engine.
When i get to about 110 kilometres an hour it starts spluttering and has the feeling that it cant keep up. I've checked and changed the mechanical fuel pump and its perfectly fine. Could it be because the fuel pump isnt pumping enough through for the 32/36? Itwill be getting pulled apart very soon and i will write down all the jets and post them up here. Anyone that has a 32/36 downdraft carbie i would love some help and info for jetting. Cheers Nick

Have you checked your fuel filter? Clog filters fill hinder at higher rpms. What are your jet sizes? Standard issue on a 32/36 should be 140 in both primary and secondary. Check your throttle linkage to make sure it is fully opening when your pedal is to floor. On the other side of your fuel connection on the carb there should be another connection. Install a fuel pressure gage. It will give you an idea what your psi is at idle and when you rev the motor in neutral. Install one in the car if you want to know under load.
Do the road test with your spark plugs. Drive at your test speed when sputtering and shut the motor off. Put the car in neutral and coast to stop. Check plugs. Report back. :)

It is probably not the jetting. It will work OK with a wide variety of jetting.
Here's the Weber 32/36 jetting for A14: Quote: Venturis: 26/27

The jetting for a stock A15 is exactly the same as for a stock A15. Both engines need a air/fuel ratio of 14:1.
The idling problems are not caused by the jetting.

Could it be that the air/fuel mixture is off? Try adjusting the idle adjustment screw on the carb.
I have to run my idle a tad high (1500 rpms) in order for it not to stall when I come to a stop at an intersection (same problem as yours). I've got an A15 with 32/36 downdraft carb, and upgraded cam of some sorts.

the fuel filter was a bit dirty and full of #OOPS# If that is the case, it is now time to clean the float bowl. Just remove the carb top (there is one c-clip for the choke linkage). Then use a turkey baster to remove the dirty fuel that's in the bowl. You can view topic.
