Bw68 swap into 1200 sedan- any one done it?
Guest_
Just wondering if anyone's done this, cause the saddles that mount to leaves are different to h150 I think (larger locating hole and bolt).
Does that sound right?

Wouldn't want to locate it on the smaller saddle to have it move round on me.

1200 sedan doesn't use the H150

Australian-assembled 1200 sedans use the Borg Warner 60. I don't know if anyone has swapped that for the BW68.

Pics of the BW60 are needed.

Here is the BW68

I bought a locked BW68 off a member in sydney. He had welded in a plate with the correct size locator holes. Tail shaft needs to be shortened a bit too.

Yeah I know 1200 didn't come with h150 but i swapped my h145 for h150 years ago.

I knew tail shaf needs shortenIng, I'm have to use auto one so input flange goes into l series gearbox lol.

Just those rubber mounted plates on springs with the locating holes is my query.
I have a set and ubolts etc, but supafatto couldn't unbolt the locating bolt from the leaves.

Oxy- nup would cut the bolt out and replace it more likely. It really should come out

Honestly buddy your bein to anal it wont move once you've done all 4 bolts up on each side i never had a problem with hankys bw68 and L series and i gave it some hell occasionally. just make sure you do up the 4 bolts each side evenly dont tighten them all the way one at a time.
