Last year, one of my Mark IIs fell off while doing 100kph. Someone forget to tighten the wheels down. I figure three lugnuts spun off, and then the 4th one snapped at the wheel stud. The meant I was missing three wheel nuts. Well I finally ordered some new SSR lugnuts from Japan at $10/each after shipping ...

Anyways, fit the new wheel stud in the axle and tighten it up. Just need to align the flat side to the center. Easy-peasy.




But before that, when I as at the wreckers I looked for wheels stud. I needed two because another one had bad threads. They didn't have any B110/B210/B310. So I called the auto parts store. They didn't have any in stock, would take days to order. I remember I have two 1200, so knocked two out of the sedan. Just take a 1kg hammer and using a drift, drive them right out of the axle. Now I have my ute with 16 (count 'em) wheel nuts. And a sedan missing two wheel studs...

Then while I was at it, I decide to remove the Mark IIs and fit a different set of wheels. Man is it low now.

are these alloy with steel inserts? are they lighter than steel ones? why do you need washers? they would work if you rims use up all the studs thread because these go in deep right?

The wheels nuts are for SSR MKI and MKII wheels only. They are a special diameter, and are steel.

All aluminum wheels with shank nuts use washers to protect the aluminum.
