I want to simplify the tubes and hoses and 'stuff' hanging off my CA18DE in the ute prior to getting engineering etc.
I have one tube coming out from under the plenum and three places for it to go ... There was a canister in the middle which i don't know what it's for here are the picks ... does anyone have a drawing to show how they should be connected (simply) Attach file: pipe out of the back of the plenum.jpg (44.37 KB)![]() round things that connect to vacuum tubes.jpg (44.64 KB)![]()

bottom "thing" is fuel pressure regulator and one above is the actuator for the intake butterflys, you should connect both to a vacuum port. ( you will find more vacuum ports on the inlet that you can use.)

Canister is a vacuum reservoir. Putting fuel, turbo and power valve feeds to manifold vacuum is a rough way to get started, but the canister and one way valves and restrictors are essential to keep the extra runners closed during sub 4000 rev range. Otherwise they open too quickly dropping torque between 3000 and 4000 rpm.
