Found this newspaper classified from January 1972. In 2003 I bought my 1972 1200 (used) only six miles from this dealership. And I had to pay $2100 because the old lady wanted to recoup her initial investment that she paid in 1972 (which included tax & license for one year)

prices rose about $50 from 1971. about $100 for 1973. And then jumped a HUGE amount for 1974 (because of the Oil Crisis)
