Removing Paint

Hey just a quick question, is there any good way to get paint off my bumpers and tail-light surrounds, the as previous owner thought painting them silver was a good idea, and now the paints coming off. Would just a paint stripper be good or any other methods or products deserve a mention???
Thanks for any help Cheers Damo

paint stripper for the bars, but be careful with the "chromed plastic" tail ight surrounds. They'll melt with stripper.
I used sharp stanley knife to cleanup mine, but it was old flakey paint anyway. If you were careful, you could probably use stripper, but do small sections at a time. Depends on the paint type. But take your time with the surrounds, it could get "ugly" if you stuff 'em up. Chris

If its flaking already try high pressure water? I actually took some paint off my 1000's engine bay... even with my little GMC water gun.
