1972 datsun 1200 fastback -- 72 straight body. white with primer black over top. 12inch mags. new pistons, rings, clutch, etc. needs paint. interior good. mr2 seats. original datsun am radio. tons of spares (i stripped the parts car. -hood, dash, doors, widows motors, etc. runs good. needs carb cleaned and tuned. can email pics. i don't check email often. $1500

There have been several posted out of Virginia in the past, so with patience you'll find one. I waited two years, and went 700 miles to get mine. But I could have bought fixer-uppers locally, I wanted one with a very good body.

Keep an eye on Craigslist. They do popup there from time to time. There was a clean 1200 Coupe in San Diego a few weeks ago that was started around $1500. Ultimately, it was reduced to $900 before it sold. I would have bought it, but it was an automatic.

I know it could have been changed, but I already have a project car with a motor swap in the works, and I don't need/want two projects!

With that said, I would love to take a vacation to Oz or NZ and find a clean 1200 with RHD and ship it back here. I think the RHD Datsuns are the stuff

Remember that an automatic car can be more desireable because of the larger, 510 trans. tunnel.
