Biggest turbo engine nowadays is 1.8 & non turbo is 2.0. A chick used to drive this, used to see it all the time. I wonder where it is now?

If you could prove (ie get a piece of paper signed by an engineer) that you had started the conversion when they changed the laws you could continue but there was only a small window of opportunity to get this done.
Otherwise you just have to find a dodgy engineer (chequebook engineer) and offer them something they can't refuse. I was talking to a guy the other month and he knew someone that was going to engineer a 308 in a 1200 ute for him... it was gonna cost him $5000 though. Anything is possible you just got to know the right people. Look at all the rotors in sydney. They all say engineered and some have only been finished a month or two ago.

engineers papers are only good if they are an rta approved engineer
also on the pac note at a car show a year or so ago saw the candy red r100, 13b turbo, massive turbo, tubs etc had a quick look aat the rego label, the engine number was still 10a ------- apparently thats why all the pac cars where popping up for sale abit back there engineer lost his license and they were calling back all there cars to be checked over
