GX Head, ported & machined, rebuilt by previous owner, Chris (Clyons)
Ports, oversize:
- Intake: 32 wide 40 tall
- Exhaust: 28 wide 30 tall
Valves, oversize:
- Intake: 38
- Exhaust: 33
Intake approach angle:
- Approximately 23 degrees
Valve Springs:
- Double valve springs, only the big springs are fitted as they are
pushing more than enough pressure, just as much as the double spring
setups you buy here in Aus. Inner springs are supplied but I do not
recommend you fit them.
Valve spring retainers:
- Aluminium “red” Valve spring retainers. I believe these compress the valve a lot more than the standard valve spring retainers
Manifold:
- Match ported manifold, that has been separated into two independent
units. Ports match perfectly with the head.
Combustion chambers: 20cc even across all four.
Head Bolts:
- Will come with GX Number '13' head bolts, these are the high tensile items from Datsun Motorsport, used.

units. Ports match perfectly with the head and are suited to 40mm carb
units.
I was running this head on an a15 bottom end, with a cam, twin 45’s solex etc. I did a main bearing and stuffed the block. I have just rebuilt a standard a15 which will be going into to the car. I don’t really need this head anymore hence why I’m selling it. This head will need supporting upgrades in order to work given the size of the ports etc.
