I'll try to get some pics of the event. It looks like a good one.
*********************** 4th Annual All Datsun Beach BBQ -- Sponsored by DQ, UFO SoCal, Group Z and SoCalROC Where: Doheny State Beach. (Dana Point, CA) When: October 16 from 11am to dusk. Cost: There is a $10 per vehicle fee collected by the state to enter the park. The BBQ is free, but we ask that all participants bring a can of non-perishable food as we're going to make a donation to the San Diego Food Bank on behalf of the clubs involved. (We raised just over 100lbs. of food last year) Description: Come join us for an All-Datsun Beach BBQ at Doheny State Beach. We're going to be in the day use parking lot, just as you enter the park and we'll set up the BBQ at the closest picnic area available. This is an informal gathering and as such we will not have reserved parking of any kind. (But the beach isn't nearly as crowded this time of year.) So bring your family, some picnic chairs and sun-screen and come hang out with us. The fun starts around 11am, the BBQ fires will be lit at noon and the fun ends at sundown. We'll have Hamburgers, Hot-Dogs, Chips and Drinks!

Hmm, I wish I can make it, but I'm hanging out with some buddies on that day.
If anyone wants to see a 210 attempt to drift, I'll be participating at Drift Circuit 2 on the 23rd either at Qualcomm Stadium or Corrs Ampitheatre http://driftcircuit.org

You didn't miss much because the rain made me turn away about halfway down to the event.
It hardly ever rains here, but (of course) it rains on the day of a all-Datsun show.

The event was cancelled this month due to insufficient time to negotiate a permit at a new venue. I'll hopefully make it to next months event. I'm pretty much running stock. If I flip the car it's an excuse to buy a car i really want, a NA6CE Miata. And if anything breaks, i know what to repair/replace. I'm not really a drifter, just want to see what the car can do and have some fun at the "track" and not in a parking lot or the street.
This is what I got: KYB GR-2 front strut cartridges KYB Gas-A-Just rear shock absorbers 185/60HR-14 Sumitomo HTR 200 on 14x5.5 +25 in the front 155/80TR-13 Kumho Power Star 758 on 13x4.5 +30 in the rear I want to get a cheap Tenzo bucket I have installed and get an alignment before the next event. Future plans (if I don't total the car) are semi metallic front brake pads, clutch, resurface the flywheel, and welded diff.

No Datsun meets in the South? Where do all the Datsun NASCAR fans meet?
The two biggest Nissan-Datsun meets in USA that I know of are: 1. Blue Lake, Portland OR in June (175 cars meet before last) one day show-n-shine. About ten 1200s have been showing up. 2. "West Coast" meet at Mt. Shasta, California in July. They have about 150+ cars, also with a track day. About six 1200s show up. Hotrod88, both are worth going to. If you plan a trip to Blue Lake, you can also visit Mt. St. Helens and the Columbia Gorge to make a proper vacation out of it. You can view topic.
