Just some footage a fellow competitor put on youtube, showing my 1200 coupe making a few passes before i came unstuck with 2 laps to go!
It has the turbo A12 engine in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O41XPpnev3M Most of the Datto action is from about 8 mins till i have my excursion. You get a hint of the sound of it at the 13min mark.

Wow, she gets up alright! So what happened there? looks like you smacked into a pothole or something on the fringe of the track (14:45 onward).
That's damn impressive for a little A12. Was there much damage? Could have been much worse if someone else was coming up on the inside! Watch from about 8 mins onward. http://www.youtube.com/v/O41XPpnev3M

Na, i just missed the wall, so no damage. I lost a few postions getting back on the track. The turbo let go on the second last lap so i just cruised the last lap. I would have loved to do the last two races of the day.

You slid/drifted for alot of the footage and managed
well to get here pointing the right way. Cant recall is it the locked H165? Loved how you took the Commonho :) was it a v8 or 6? Was that the upgraded inconel turbo? what awesome fun and potential!!!

The car still needs plenty of work. It was still the ceramic turbine, thats why it came out the exhaust! There`s nothing left of the wheel or shaft! At least I have to change it now.
Yeah, the diff`s a locked H165. Commodore is a V8, too much grunt for me down the straights but the datto beats him under brakes and through the turns.

Nice work simon.
I'm hoping we can eventually get my datto up to that standard.

Nice driving simon- looked a bit of a handful at times- you should have given him a Hamilton bump in the corner to just nudge him off line
You going to leave locked in rear or LSD one day? Looked to unsettle when on the brakes off power throwing off lune from rear then power on and sliding a little. What pound springs up front? It square nice in corners up front You need a build thread on the whole car ![]()

Ta Mik, Im starting to get my head around driving.
Springs are about 275Lb and a 120y front sway bar. Id like to back to back a Topgear LSD with the locker one day. The car is too slow to take a set in the corners and unpredictably oversteers. Im changeing the ackerman in the front after a racer friend saw the vid and made a recomendation. Ive checked for front and rear susp travel and binding, but no probs. Its still early days for the car, im sure i`ll sort it out soon enough. I also need a lot more experience under the helmet.
