Ya gotta go! This is the biggest swap meet on the West Coast. All kinds of cars and parts are there ... antiques, classics, musclecars, newer performance, trucks, etc. There are hundreds of cars for sale, so it's a huge car show as well.

This is the kind of event where ya gotta keep moving to cover it all in one day. The weather is often very warm, though some years it rains. There are a lot of indoor areas, so rain is not a big deal.

Last year the only 1200 parts I saw were 4 hubcaps, but in 2001 there was a nice 1200 coupe for sale. In past years I saw a lot of A-type engine perfomance parts and 1200 parts or even Japan import turbo motors. You never know what treasures will be found.

I'll have my Datsun1200 cap on, and probably go on Friday. But the weather looks better on Saturday. Looks like it will be a cool year either way. Here's the forecast:

Friday...Showers likely. Highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday...Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers. Highs in the lower 50s. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.

Weather was a lot nicer than I figured on ... it was mostly sunny! Just a few sprinkles. Two more days left if you are thinking about it.

I saw some 1200 parts (see in Classifieds).

I probably missed a lot, it's sooo big I had to hurry through. In five hours, I think I saw all the cars, but didn't get through all the indoor areas. I was hoping a 1200 would be for sale, but I only saw a 620, a 2000 roadster and several Z-cars.

I also saw an MG convertible powered by an A15. And a 1959 Morris ute (from Australia, so the seller said). I saw a set of Shelby American minilite-type wheels, nice looking for only $100. Lots of 13 and 14" wheels of all sorts, and bucket seats.
